Pu’erh is known for its health benefits of lowering cholesterol, aiding digestion and facilitating weight loss. In Chinese medicine it is used to increase chi & tonify the body. Pu’erh is named after a trading post in Yunnan, China where the tea is traded. Pu’erh began with the nomadic traditions who needed a sturdy and compact tea for traveling over high mountain passes.
This unique pu’erh adds rose petals to give the naturally earthy pu'erh a gentle, yet deep heart essence. Rose is traditionally used for nurturing the heart, easing depression and aiding circulation. For this pu’erh, tea leaves and roses are pressed into tuochas (bowls) for a perfect fusion of earthy & floral notes. The rose petals add a very mellow heart essence to the naturally earthy pu'erh.
